I’m Tara.

A small-town girl with big photography dreams. Growing up in a small town, and I mean smallllll, taught me the importance of building connections and strong relationships within my community. (constantly building connections, learning, etc.)

My story is a little different from most…I didn’t always know that I wanted to do photography. I didn’t pick up my first camera at 10. I didn’t even consider photography until way after I had already graduated from University with my Bachelor’s degree and then continued my education with a Physical Therapy Assistant program. After working as a PTA for just four months, I knew that God intended a different path for me. It wasn’t until I was searching for a wedding photographer for myself that I was truly exposed to the world of photography and how far it has evolved from what it used to be. I was instantly drawn to the art of imagery and how photos could tell a story. I was so inspired that I thought to myself… What the hell? I’ll try it, and if I’m not where I want to be in about a year, I’ll just suck it up and pick up a job in physical therapy. Shortly after that, I fell in love with photography. I fell in love with the clients that turned into friends, the places I got to see & travel to, and most of all, the art I was creating. Me… a creative? I had never viewed myself this way before, but now that I’m here… I’ll never go back.
