First of all– I’m not supposed to play favorites, but Jade & Sully make that real difficult. Jade found me on instagram and the two of them drove 14 hours from Southern Illinois to Topsail Island just so I could take their engagement photos here on the beach. Ever since then, I’ve been completely obsessed with them! They tied the knot in a cute little town in Southern IL on a rainy day with all of their family and friends there to celebrate with them. We started the day grabbing some detail shots of the venue while the girls sipped on their mimosas and jammed out in their pajamas. It was finally time to get dressed and Jade’s mom helped her with all of the delicate buttons on her beautiful dress. She chose an untraditional route for her “barefoot shoes” and I thought it was such a fun and unique touch! Jade & Sully chose to read each other letters back-to-back in private before the ceremony to have a moment of intimacy and get out all of their pre-wedding jitters. He cried, she cried, and I definitely cried. It was perfect. After grabbing some fun groomsmen and bridesmaid photos, we did a first look with Jade’s dad which was another tear-jerker! Just when I thought everyone had all of their tears out, it was time for the ceremony. The moment Solomon saw Jade, he absolutely lost it. Full-blown man sobs, the kind that you can’t get to stop. I think he cried throughout the entire ceremony, and it was just the sweetest thing. Right after the ceremony, we were able to grab the most perfect moody portraits and finished just seconds before the rain came! Their dance floor was outside with string lights all around, making the atmosphere so much fun. Maybe a little too much fun. A quick outfit change set Jade up to dance the night away with her groom, and that’s exactly what they did until their family and friends gathered around for a bubble send off. It was a perfect day for a perfect couple!
